    Different sized quail eggs??

    OK, so the quail hens are laying, have been for the last 4 days, and Im collecting eggs on a daily basis. But......Im getting eggs in all sorts of different sizes??? I can understand the different colors and such, but why are they so different in size? Do I need to wait till they are all laying...

    How many hens per roo do you house together??

    Ok, so I sorted through my brown coturnix's this morning and out of 27 birds I only have 7 hens!! Im sexing them by their markings, the hens having the speckled breast and the roos having the rust colored breast. Which seems to be pretty right on as the only ones I have ever seen crow are rust...

    What does this sound mean???

    I noticed one of the lil roos this morning making a noise that reminded me of a helicopter....is this a breeding sound? a aggressive sound to the other roos?? or what?? This was the first time I had ever heard it.
