I have two momma hens. We had three hens- but 2 days ago on hatching day, 3 chick's were taken killed by the 3rd momma. 2 chick's are still alive but the two other momma hens abandoned the rest of the eggs.
Fast forward to today. I have two mommas and two babies together in the maternity...
I have a 6 mo old Yokohama Cockerel. Not fully mature yet. 2 days ago he was acting really sluggish and tired. Pulled him in gave some electrolytes and scrambled eggs and been letting him rest.
This morning checked on him and he is passing yellowish paste like poop. He is acting more lethargic...
Was a surprise chick in my last purchase. The other chickens are 11 weeks. So should be about the same for this one. Rooster or hen? Thanks in advance!
Advice please- I currently have 2 roosters. A black copper Maran about 9 mo old and a buff Orpington about 5 mo old.
I currently have 6 maran hens and 2 buff hens- I am trying to see which you think would be better to keep for my flock?
The Maran roo is great with the hens- keeps them in...

I have it all over my yard and am wanting to make sure it is okay.
Thanks!
On one of my blue copper Maran chicks there is a small protrusion on the bottom of either side of beak. It is hard. Is it something I need to be concerned about?
So 9 weeks ago I purchased 4 (what was supposed to be) cuckoo maran pullets. Fast forward to today- the girls do not look like cuckoo maran at all. Anyone have any idea on what they might be? Maybe australorp, andalusian, or sapphire gem?
I am new to chickens so I am trying to figure out...
I have what is supposed to be a black copper marran, but does not look like one to me. I am trying to figure out what type of marran it is. Does not look like my cuckoo marrans as well.
Also wanting to figure out if it is a rooster or pullet?
