Flock placed with a good home

Well, I was able to place my flock with some very good people, so I am relieved. I hope my neighbor who complained is happy and I hope no one ever does to him/her what he/she did to me! I will now have to enjoy chickens vicarously through this forum.

Free Hens and some chicks in Southeast Texas

New neighbor complained and now I have to get rid of my flock. They are free to a good home. I have 3 black minorcas, 3 black leghorns, 3 brown leghorns and 2 barred rocks. They are about a year and a quarter old, lay on average 7-8 eggs per day. Also 7 salmon faverolles I hatched April 21...

    Why such poor egg packing?

Just got a dozen hatching eggs. 5 out of 12 were smashed. In my opinion, they were very poorly packed: they were in a styrafoam egg carton, with just a little padding paper placed on top of eggs before carton closed; carton not even taped shut; put in a square flat USPS box with just some...

    Azomite

Anyone ever use this with their chickens? I use it in my garden plot with great results and in the book SECRETS OF THE SOIL it mentions feeding it to old hens with good results.

Having read the problems some have with incubators, I was wondering what are some of the best, hobby-sized (20-30 chicken egg) incubators out there? Some suggestions and success stories? Thanks in advance for any replies.
