Hi there
I'm pretty sure my hen is a hen, but is acting like a roo. But just to double check, these eggs are not fertilised right? They are infertile?

Hello
I have a 10-11 month old Faverolles 'Tiramisu' and she crows! But it needs to stop/reduce as we live in urban area.
Pretty sure its because there is no rooster. She is also the biggest in the flock, as the 5 other hen's are a mix of barbu d'uccle and pekin bantam. She seems to mostly crow...
Hello,
I have a beautiful salmon faverolles, 7mo, called Tiramisu. I noticed recently that she has funny light coloured comb/ears(both sides). I wondered if it could be a fungal thing?

Hi There,
I have a nearly 2 week old Faverolle chick, that was born with both feet having curly toes (incubator troubles i think). Having used the bootie method for most of this time and a hobble early on to help with what appeared to be a mild case of spraddle leg, one of the feet is much...
Kia ora (hello in Màori, the treasured language of our indigenous peoples)- thought I would introduce my self and answer some of the questions. Looking forward to being on here more often!
(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens?
Pretty much brand new. Had some as kids but...
Hi, another newbie here!
Problem- 1 chick, slightly smaller than others keeps falling over not able to get back up easily, stands around and is a bit vacant? not as curious/ engaged as others. Does walk about a little bit, but not much. Pictures below.
Context- 3x 1 day old chicks. Had some...
