I know my chicken facts, and i can hatch eggs like a madman, but the incubator itself i am still learning. My incubator is going downhill, the fan doesnt work anymore and the temp is not a constant one, and my turner is shot...My question is how important is the fan? If i buy a new still air...
I have recently built a ''hut'' and put it in the yard...so that the hen is isolated with her chicks when they hatch this weekend... this is my first broody, but i have had chickens for years....does some see sometheing wrong with the ''hut'' idea, or any additional advice..

I currently run a small profit operation of selling my eggs like many of you do I'm sure. As well as selling the eggs, I also hatch them out to sell baby chicks, rent out my incubator, and occasionally butcher extra roo's to sell for meat.
I would like to tag/label my chickens for breeding...
