    Pop can redemption center eggs !!!

    I noticed that the local pop can redemption center was selling farm fresh eggs. When i looked at them, some were a light blue. I bought a dozen out of the refrigerator and 10 of them made it home and under a broody hen. Only 4 of the 10 hatched and the other 6 did not develop, (wonder why?)...

    Amazing first time broody

    We have a young coachin that went broody, her first time and ours, so at least we had no idea what to do. Today was 21 days from when we gave her six eggs to sit on. On day 18 we were out of town for most of the day and it was down around freezing. Went out to check on her as soon as we arrived...

    Quail learn to fly fast

    On 1/11/2009 i hatched out some quail and for the cold weather we have been having in iowa, i built them a box 6 feet long, by 2 feet wide, by 2 feet deep. On 1/30/2009 we had to start rounding up quail as they were getting out of the box !!!

    Old Bator

    I borrowed two incubators to help with the load in mine recently. One was a Kuhl, , the other was a Brower and was older yet,. Used the Kuhl and it worked great, did not have to use the Brower, but looked to be in working order. Anyone else using one of these models?
