    Can you help me? Pic heavy!

    I have three or four I am suspicious about. These chicks are five to six weeks old. The sign said Ameracuna (sp?). Behavior, a bit of a bully. I wish I was wrong, but I am pretty sure he is a roo. Would have made such a pretty hen! RIR, short tail - beginning to have a few curling...

    The coop is almost done!! Update to show the awesome doors DH made!

    I hadn't got everything cleaned up when I took the pic, but it is an 8x10 metal shed -well shaded for the entire day. The run is modular, so we can take off the 12' panel and add two 8' panels and extend the chicken wire on the top and double the size of the run. The outside of the entire coop...

    I picked up 18 chickies today!

    Six of the Ameracaunas, three Black Giants (Jersey Giants?), three Rhode Island Reds, and three light or buff (can't remember which! lol) Brahmas. I have already had one disaster! My light burned out, so I had to run buy a new one... and a spare! Whew! Anyone care to describe happy chicks...

    Couple of questions about my first chick purchase...

    I did do a search and didn't find the answers I needed. The chicks are from a locally owned feed store. I called this morning and some of the chicks are two weeks old and some are one week. Can I mix these guys or do I need to choose one wk or two week olds? Also, since I am not getting day...
