I'm sure this is probably the 100th thread on dry hatching but after reading this awhile ago https://www.backyardchickens.com/LC-DryIncubation.html I became interested...all those fully formed chicks that don't hatch or the ones that died because of the humidity spike, and then the ones that are...
Hello I have a 1588 genesis incubator with en egg turner that I've only used once, I feel like I've thrown my money away, I didn't use it at all this year. I would like to use it next year I'm thinking of buying hatching eggs and hatching chicks to sell. Is $4 a fair price, around here I believe...

In the past 2 years I've spent 600$ on Coturnix Quail!!! I don't regret ever owning them as it was a great experience and I'll prolly do it again in my life time but I sure do regret all the money...
I have a question I just bought a rabbit hutch that I would like to convert into a loft. I think its about 3ft x 2ft and maybe 2.5ft high, I want to make a big flight area for them maybe 4ft x 4ft x 4ft. How many pigeons could I fit in an area that big?
Now that we are all getting closer to spring I'm interested in finding out what everyone hopes to accomplish this upcoming breeding season with their birds maybe their are others who are too!!!
My plans:
I'm not really sure yet, maybe get a couple trio cages for different coturnix colors...

These are chicks that I hatched from Mrs. AK-Bird-Brain I had 33 hatch, 1 died as a day old, I had to cull 2, and 1 died at 2 weeks old and another wasn't growing and just died by itself at 4 weeks old. P.S. These are all phone pics sorry.

My Coturnix roo won't stop crowing I mean jeesh I've owned him for over a year hes never been like this hes been with only female since May and now its like hes just realizing it he went from crowing to like 3 times a day and today hes prolly crowed over 40 times.
Last night I put in 60 eggs from Mrs. AK-Bird-Brain humidity was 46, in an attempt to get it higher I put some more water got up to check it again saw that it was 51 figured good... woke up this morning to 70 humidity I'm going to be so upset if I just ruined another 60 eggs.
My other supplier recently had his birds killed by something and my last hatch failed I don't have time to go hunt for someone I need to get things rolling, if your quail are averaging around 12-14oz I will buy some eggs thinking 30-50. But not sure yet I'm expecting big since some of the people...
