incase your not from florida or anywhere else tropical-ish, water moccasins (how ever they are spelt) or cotton mouths are supposed to be one of the most aggressive and venemous snakes. and ive seen one around my coop twice. anyone have any tricks or tips on how to keep the snakes away?
my baby serama has a problem with her foot. he her, not sure wich one it is, but its right foot, the very right toe, tallon, whatever you want to call it, folds up underneath the rest of the foot when it walks. it doesnt seem to bother it, but, it may be an issue when its older and the foot...
if i take away some or all of my chickens eggs will she lay more?
i was not sure if they were going to be fertile or not, so i was going to wait a week and candle them and now theres 10 eggs. so if i get rid of those will it make her lay more?
im not sure if this is the right forum, but ive been convinced that my eggs are not fertile, and im wondering how long is too long for the eggs to have been in the coop before you put them in the fridge to eat?
(since ive had her) lol. the first egg for me. i did have a rooster, but my dog got him a few weeks ago as he was defending his ladies. But i did witness him fertilize the hens. since then i have fenced off the chickens area. anyways, this is my first egg laid at home and i have a few questions...
