im not sure if this is the right forum, but ive been convinced that my eggs are not fertile, and im wondering how long is too long for the eggs to have been in the coop before you put them in the fridge to eat?

A day or two usually. I stick them in a deep bowl of water and if the stand up then I don't eat them, if they float I for sure don't eat them.

If its a hot day I won't eat any eggs that sit in the coop longer then a day. I will collect and boil them to feed back to my hens. They love me for that

I don't know how long is safe to leave them in the coop and not get sick from eating them.

If you have a rooster your eggs most likely are fertile.
