WANTED: Ducklings or Eggs - can be mixed breed

Looking for some fertile duck eggs or, preferably, ducklings. Can be mixed-breed and I don't care what color they are. I would prefer someone in NC that can ship or that I can pick up from (if you are within reasonable distance). Thanks! =) Happy Holidays!

    Turken Chicks. Pick-up Only.

I have 11 turken (Naked Neck) chicks that need new homes. They are super friendly (I've been handling them a lot) and will make good "pet" chickens. These are a large but docile breed, great layers or meat birds. They are 1 - 3 days old, started on medicated crumble and are all doing well...

Adorable...but what the heck is it!?

I mistook this little guy for a guinea last night...but once I got it out of the incubator I realized that wasn't the case! It's super cute...but I have no idea what it is! It came from a round-ish white medium egg.

Important Questions about Lockdown, Hatching and Chicks

I have a big trip coming up next week, I will be away for 5 days (leaving Thursday morning, returning Monday evening) and my hatch/lockdown dates fall right in the middle of it. What do I do? I have turkey eggs due for hatch on Thursday, and Lockdown for guinea and chicken eggs are set to start...

Help - Hatched out of the small end of the egg

I have a two-week old semi-crippled peachick. The bird was hatched by a friend (a long-time breeder of very healthy, gorgeous peas and other fowl) who gave it to me because he just doesn't have the time to work with it. He didn't think the chick would survive, but it's quite healthy at 2 weeks...

^.^ Pictures...from hatch to fluff (now with 2!)

Taking these with my phone's camera through the incubator window. I'll update the thread with new pics when I take them. Porcelain d'Uccle, wandering and peeping like crazy. Soon to be joined by two other porcelains and some RIRs that are pipping. Yay, I did it! #2 Rhode Island...

Pip Pip Pip! But have concerns.

It was a nice surprise to get up this morning and see one of my eggs pipped...but now I'm a little unsure. The chick has pecked a large enough hole that I can see movement in the egg and if I talk to it (yes, I talk to my incubator...) it peeps like crazy, but it hasn't made any progress at all...

    When traps aren't the answer...

Venting because I'm so fustrated...I've lost a bunch of my flock, including my gorgeous little buff silkies (they were NICE ones, too!) and a beautiful porcelain roo that I was quite fond of - not to mention a bunch of my other birds. I KNOW it's a raccoon and a large opossum doing it but every...

Thinking about raising a few quail.

Right now we have chickens and peafowl but I'm interested in maybe getting a few quail. I'm a new "registered" member, but I frequent this forum quite a bit and have for some time because it's such a great resource! One thing I do want to know though, that I haven't seen any topics...

    Eggs....or Chicks...and a lot of questions

I've never owned peafowl but I'm really interested in getting one (or potentially a "few") in the near future but I have a lot of questions! Is it better to buy an egg (understand that I have raised Silkies...but never from eggs and I do not have an incubator) and hope that it hatches or buy a...
