i tried some other ways but after 12 quail and 14 bantam chickens killed by the same 2 dogs they had to go.

i had one texas A & M quail and one white bantam hen and lived together great. i put 10 cotournix quail in with them and the chicken and A & M pecked the cotournix relentlessly. it was a pretty big cage too. i had to seperate them but kept the chicken and A & M together in a cage.

i had a bulldog problem that a late night waiting and a .30 06 solved.

when i get crickets for fishing i give them the leftovers and they go crazy chasing them around and eating them.

well i figured out it was the 2 bulldogs from next door that got my chickens. now theres only one bulldog next door.

thanks for all the help. im raising it off the ground a few more feet and putting 1/2 in hardware cloth on the whole thing like yall said. then ill be looking for more chickens.
