My 2 year old Wyanndotte hen is looking sickly (laying down with her head pulled in) and every few seconds she shakes her head. Mites? None of the other 10 chickens look ill. They eat an organic layer mix. Any ideas?
I have two Wyandotts and 1 Rhode Island Red. The red is a rescue I'm not sure how old she is and the 2 Wyandotts are two years old. I feed them an organic layers mix and fresh veggies )like lettuce and tomatos) Every once in a while there is a egg with what looks like a little wart on it...
I have two Americanas. Both are two years old and they stopped laying about six months ago. I feed them an organic layers mix, plus raw veggies like lettuce and tomatos and they eats lots of bugs and other greens when they run around. Is that the normal time frame for a hen to go through...
Does anyone know of somewhere that I can drive to (on the olympic pennisula, wa state) to buy just a few (3 or 4) chicks? I'd like to get an aracana, barred rock and maybe a polish or cochin? Thanks
