    I can sex your Silkies!

Thanks! That is my suspicion too! I haven't heard it crow or seen it lay an egg, but it looks more like a boy than a girl to me but I'm not at all an expert.

    Bunny's with Chickens

I've never tried keeping them together but my concern would be with the rabbit having to hop in chicken poop all of the time. I would think it might aggravate the rabbit if it was always dirty! But that's just something that comes to mind.

I had a tom when I was just a toddler who was just the sweetest. And I've loved turkeys ever since. I got a pair of poults about 6 years ago but I didn't know much and I'm quite sure they were broad breasted bronze, they were gigantic! I did my best to keep them from overeating but it's hard to...

Mr T my tom turkey has attitude

I had a tom once who was as sweet as could be but he hated my blue flannel shirt. He got very aggressive when I wore it! So obviously I stopped and that problem was solved. If the problem is he's just mean then I agree to get rid of him and find a calmer tom! No one likes getting chased by a...

Do you need a permit to shoot and kill a red fox and a ground hog?

You have the right to protect your livestock... the exception being federally protected animals like wolves and raptors... I agree with Bobbi-J... predators are predators but not all will make a habit of eating your chickens... that is something that needs to be dealt with because it will...

    Black Bears...should I be worried?

Last summer a bear ripped the wall off my chicken coop (refurbished shed) and snatched my poor birds off their roosts one night... he ate all of them leaving feather piles and one wing. Then he moved onto my Flemish giant rabbits but fortunately that's when I got outside to chase it away. All of...
