no slammin intended just trying to get in on the witty banter........ apparently not... seemed alright for everyone else to poke a little harmless fun.
no, it is porous enough that it has no effect on humidity. It was actually recommended in the manual that came with the incubator thats what made me try it in the first place.
my hovabator doesn't always have droplets on the window sometimes yes sometimes no I wouldnt worry about it. I know you are worried but dont assume the lack of answer in less then 2 hours is because you are being stubbed as a newbie! I can assure you it is not.
When I take the turner out on day 18 I put a layer of cheese cloth on the wire mesh. First I think its more comfortable for the chicks and also makes clean up a breeze you gather the four corners on the cheese cloth up, lift it up and pop it in the garbage shells gross stuff bits of whatever...
I have had great results with my Hoverbator still air. Duck eggs chicken eggs, never had a bad hatch lots between 95 to 100% lowest ever (shipped eggs) was 74% hatch rate.
OMG is he ever cute! Congrats. I check the bator every ten seconds and nothing, my son sanders passed every few hours and everytime hes like "Mom, one is hatching!' He has some good hatching vibes I guess.
