Western NY: Small silkie flock in need of new home

Hi Lauren...I'm not sure about hens-it's possible they may be allowed- but I would want to bring my roos too, and I know they are not allowed. Thanks for your reply! Good luck to you on your permit!

Western NY: Small silkie flock in need of new home

We are moving to the city and sadly, I can't take my flock of silkie hens and roos with us. I have 6 hens and 5 roos that range in age from 1 year to 5 years old. The original birds (of which I still have 3) came from Catdance Silkies in Washington State. Let me know if you are interested and...

2 silkie roos in need of new homes in WNY.

Hi...we are in the Cassadaga/Jamestown area of WNY, and need to re-home two nice, silkie boys. They were hatched last summer and have been happy and healthy within my mixed flock. However, my husband just can't handle the crowing any longer (I have 5 other boys, so I guess I can't blame him)...

So happy to hear this story...what a day! It was pretty nice here today too, and my little crew was VERY HAPPY to get out and about. I wanted to sit out with them but could only stand the cold for a short time. It was nice in the sun, but the bit of wind we had made it too chilly to hang out...

So, so strange. Thanks for posting those last photos...Ruffles looks so healthy other than his lameness. So hopeful that recovery is just around the corner.

Molting or not...Moa is so pretty. I love her ruffled comb and wattles. She is much prettier than my 2 barreds....but don't tell them I said that! Of course they are actually just finishing up their molts as well. Great article, btw!
