I was wondering if dyeing my white silkie hen may be inhumane. Will the new color make the other chickens (2 polish hens) to be offset? Can it hurt her? If not, how would you set off dyeing her?
I already have a few bantam and birds that are more for show.. I would like to get a more "average" chicken next ( like one that lays average is normal sized and VERY calm and nice). I've been thinking about a golden comet or a Rhode Island Red but I've heard the Rhode Island reds may be loud...

A few months ago I got three chickens. One turned out to be a rooster and was too loud and we thought the neighbors would be mad and complain so we gave him back the person we got him from. Now it turns out that another one is a rooster I don't want to get rid of him too and leave my one chicken...
This is one of my three silkie chickens! They are a very tame breed, I've even heard that the roosters help sit on the eggs! This is Puffles! Silkies are fluffly and very fun to be around
