    How do you get hens to sit? I have 14 RIR hens and I am getting 12 to 14 eggs a day but I would like to get some hens to start sitting.... Is it an age thing? Or with Winter coming on will I have to wait for spring? 4 Hens are 9 months old and 9 are 6 months old... Thanks in advance!

    My husband made a nice table from scrap plywood and 2 x4's with an old sink and faucet. he made the pipe come down a leg of the table and put on a fitting so we can just screw the hose to it! then for the drain he used some old PVC to drain down the hill.. works great and didnt cost a thing!

    Thanks for the Info! How is cleaning when you use these materials? Do you just scoop out what is soiled, like kitty litter? What if it is CRD? Do i treat all 58 chickens or just the ones that are sick?
