I am looking for full nicely feathered splash silkies. I have ordered off of MPC and have been very disappointed with the quality of the silkies I get from them...
I am getting some chicks in on Aug 5 so I could do chicks, or I would be fine with a pullet or even an adult that is already super...
Does anyone know where I can get splash or grey silkie hens from near Southern Maryland? I have tried ordering splash silkies from my pet chicken and gotten only blacks. I would like a pullet or adult that way I am sure no roosters and it would be better for introducing to my flock of 5 month...
I am in southern maryland Charles County. Anyone near here? I would love to know some local BYC farmers! Also I have this pretty black silkie (5 mo old) cockerel that is free to a good home!
I have this beautiful cockerel he is 5 months old (4.5 in the pic) He is free to a good home, located in Southern Maryland. I would be willing to meet someone if not too far.
Any takers? I am located in La Plata, MD and cannot have chickens in the town, which I have so far gotten away with but I don't need a rooster announcing their existence on a regular basis!
I am pretty sure this is a rooster because of the enlarged comb and bigger size than the other silkies. Can anyone confirm? It is 4.5 months old. I haven't heard a crow yet, but I feel like it acts like a rooster. I am located somewhere I am not allowed to keep even hens so I would have to find...

Thankyou for the warm welcome! I used to blog about my 3 coral reef tanks so this is fun for me because I miss my tanks! and I love my little chickie babies!<3
i think the fluffy feather footed one is a partridge cochin.... one of those is really agressive towards the other chicks.... hopefully she will grow out of it (and is a she and not a he!?)
Aww thanks! And I have 4 silkies on the way as well as a mille fluer! OKay yea it was the cochin I was unsure of, that was what my guess would be too... and that would be awesome if tiger chicken is an easter egger! Thanks for the help!
