Okay, I did a little research, and what I found was, Mineral rights are sold with the property, unless otherwise separated. However, and this is a big however, if at some point in the preceding life of the property, the mineral interests were separated, you wouldn't see it in the normal deed...
Sorry it took so long to get back with you. My husband and I have been in the process of building a new, more ND winter friendly chicken coop, and we have hardly had time to breath, let alone play on the computer. HOpefully it will make for happy chickens!
Whoever has mineral rights to a...
Depends on where you want the land. Close to the bigger cities, and you are going to pay for it! If you are really interested go to this website.

You can easily figure out how it works, and you will have a great idea of how the prices are going...
The best part about the state is the people, no doubt. I have yet to find a state that I like better. I have lived in MI, FL, IL, TX, SD, and VA. I have also visited enough in WI to know I like it better here. I live out in the country, and we just moved here a year ago. All the neighbors...
It is nice to see some people a bit closer than the atlantic ocean! I have 20 RIR hens, and 16 guineas right now. What kinds of chickens do the rest of you have?
HI, I am in ND too! I live up north of Minot. Good to see a fellow North Dakotan on the board! I don't come on here very often, but I will subscribe to this post. Where abouts in ND are you?
What do calcium deposits look like? I have RIRs and on their eggs there are sometimes darker brown speckles all over the eggs, that will rub off, with some vigorous rubbing, lol. Are these calcuim deposits? If so, I would sell them with them, they are pretty.
My husband built me a small coup for three RIR's while the chicks get the big coup till they get old enough to introduce the full grown hens. This morning the kids went to look into the run, and came running in to tell me that one of our hens was "gone". They were very worried, and I was...
I sure hope you are right. I look at them and do not see them developing like some pictures of cockerels I have seen at this age. They will be nine weeks old tomorrow. What about the curly part? That is the thing that seemed neat to me. Is that just maybe a trait of the bird? Kind of like...
Just a quick question. I just started out with chicks this year. As a matter of fact, I got my first hens in the fall last year.
My question is this.......can you sex a RIR by looking at the neck feathers? I ordered 25, and 18 survived, so I don't know how feasable picures are,, but when I...
