    Finally, My first batch of eggs is hatching as I type. I have 21 eggs and so far seven are out and many more are pecking through their homes. It is awesome to think how that yellow liquid yolk has now turned into a chicken. God is awesome! Barred Rocks and RIR's.

    A good friend of mine just brought me four young mallards this afternoon. Three hens and a drake. It has been raining here for what seems like forever and these ducks stunk so bad the smell stained onto my hands. I think they were swimming in a sewage lagoon.
