Well I gave some of the Beauty Berries to the chickens, they seem to like them. I'll give them in limited quantities to avoid problems of too many berries.

I'll give a little to the chickens and see what they think. Where their run is now they can not get to it. But I plan on increasing their run and when I do they will have access to it.

This plant grows wild on my central Florida property. Can anyone ID it? Is it edible for the chickens? The berries are about 3/16" to 1/4" diameter.
the plant has multiple stalks and will get 8'-0 plus high.

The reason I had mentioned Brahmas is because it is my understanding they take a bit longer to mature and I was not sure if the protein % mattered.
