Breed Information, Comments, and Experience with breed:
This was my first White Rock trio bought from the late APA judge Horst Greczmiel who lived in Richmond, B.C. at the time. It's the only picture I have of his line, sorry it's black and white...

Breed Information, Comments, and Experience with breed:
Bought my first trio for $50 in 1978. I was in grade 8 at the time. Our flock grew at it's largest to over 30. Fertility rates were very low, although I tried various techniques like trimming around...
Those Silkies are so nimble compared to my Buff Brahma standards who I used to let go broody. She was so heavy the chicks had to watch her every step LOL.
I had a cat who could take some chicks from time to time. But I had the same thing happen as you. One of my favorite white rumpless Araucana hens was taken by a Hawk while I let her free range. I was so sad about that. She was the most tame, human loving hen I've ever had.
I did for 10 years, started when I was 15 until I was 25 and had to move into the city for job reasons. I miss them alot, that's why I love this forum so much.
Thank you all for your warm welcome! Nice to meet so many friendly "chicken people". Kidcody, you have some very unusual Orpingtons. I'm enjoying your pictures of them.
I'm new here as well. Although I don't have any chickens now, I did for many years and miss them. I'm getting my fix on BYC... I used to breed Standard Buff Brahmas, RIR's and many others. I love seeing all the wonderful pictures people have posted of their birds, thanks. Eddie
Hi from the other end of Canada Brian! I'm Eddie from Burnaby BC. Good luck, you'll have fun. I miss my chickens, raised purebreds for years when I was 14 till 25. Can't anymore at this time but will again in the future.
