    Rotten egg

    Went to cook an egg that I had just gathered and when I cracked it open it had a horrible smell. Holding my breath I looked at the inside of shell it had dark brown spots. I gather eggs daily so I know it was layed that day. What do you think? Has this happened to anyone else?

    Sorry you are having to deal with this complex situation. Please understand that even if you keep her in the house, until she is out of heat the male dogs still will come around. Fort Knox for your chickens until your dog issue has been resolved this is my thoughts. Wish you well

    spay your sweet dog. Dogs will travel from far away they have wonderful smell detector when a b##ch is in heat and I would think they would be hungry afterwards Also your sweet girl would not have to suffer I understand when in heat they are very miserable.

    Some-what off the topic but, I find myself looking at the eggs they use in the cooking shows and can tell which cooks use store bought eggs. Jamie on the cooking show cracked open an egg and it was very orange. Do you think only people whom raise chickens notice?
