    The Pet Pigeon Thread

Not that many. Not really set up to have much more than I have now. 1 pair Creme Lucernes 1 pair of really nice Mini Indian Fantails and the 1st pair of normal sized Indian Fantails, turned out the breeder wasn't honest. They weren't mini's and the male has umbrella tail. The umbrella tail...

    The Pet Pigeon Thread

I think... cream yellow bar, is what the breeder called them.... but I am still learning pigeon colors. Found this page which is helping me. On this page like you said, they would be dilute ash yellow bar. http://learn.genetics.utah.edu/content/pigeons/dilute/ When you want mini Indians...

    The Pet Pigeon Thread

As per another master breeder I talked too. That male has Umbrella tail because his back it too short. You could fix this in his offspring if you use a long backed hen and culled any squeak with a short back. I have zero interest raising the normal sized ones. Hence the Umbrella tail male...

Thank you. :) OH, NO,,, These ones are not the ones I want to rehome. These are the really good Mini's I bought from a judge. They will be staying here. ;) The male below is the one I need to rehome. He has umbrella tail. He is a normal sized Indian. He does have a nice body, a good wrap...

    Baytril dose?

Heard it could be hard on their crop undiluted? Would be a lot easier to give without adding a tiny amount of sugar water with it.

    Baytril dose?

Used boiled water to make the simple syrup. (have Well water) But I can remake it with distilled water. Thank you for that tip. Dug through my syringes, found the ones I have for the cats. They are really small and have the correct measurements on them.

    Baytril dose?

Orally, mixed in some sugar water. Going to have to see if any of my syringes go that low. One of the draw backs to having such tiny poultry.

    Baytril dose?

One of my bantam roosters needs to take Baytril 10% solution. He is only 18.2 ounces. (think that is 1.13lbs?) How much would he need per day?

Can I keep Pigeons with chickens ??

Hate to tell you this, but chickens have just as many diseases as chickens. Most of the pigeon breeders I know, vaccinate for everything. I am getting into pigeons too, and they will be vaccinated. As for tapeworms and so on. All my birds are on a de-worming program. Valbazen will kill...

OVER THE COUNTER MEDICATIONS (OTC) IMPACTED BY NEW FDA PRESCRIPTION REQUIREMENTS INITIATIVE

There are zero Vets that will see any poultry in this area. Only one will see sheep and goats and they are nearly 3 hours away, one way. I do have to de worm my poultry every 6 months in this area and the only thing that works is Valbazen. Corid is only needed once a year, normally during the...

    silkie sexing

Heavy sigh ~~ one of the young Baby Huey Silkies just crowed. I "think" it came from the one in the first 2 photo. Next two photos, are of the other Baby Huey, can see the difference in the poof crest.... and the last one is less than half the size of the other two and much more mellow. What...

Having the same problem. Membranes too thick in the white bantam Ameraucana hatching eggs. I helped the two that pipped out a tiny break in the egg, other wise they won't of gotten out...all the other's haven't pipped. Beginning to think, should of helped the rest that were talking. They are...

    Pumpkin seeds for worming?

Ivermec and Valbazen are two totally different de wormers. Years ago, I tried all the Organic ways to de worm. Also did Fecal samples..... sadly, as much as I wished it so.... they didn't work. Specially in this climate.
