I have a splash silkie rooster for sale. He is SO sweet and doesn't crow much. He has excellent wings, toes, feet feathering and his color is perfect (a lot of splash now have faded coloring). I could add a girl (similar to the picture) to go with him. I really want him to go to a good home...

I definitely agree with Knock Knee Hen. You need an enclosure for your silkie. Get her another pal to be with and I bet you she won't care (especially silkies don't need much space) not only predators could get to her easily but one of your big girls could someday hurt her and knowing silkies...

Thank you for both of your replies.... And what a nice set up Mr. Oz. I was debating between the nipples and the cups but thought my silly silkies would have a hard time with the nipples.

I am looking on getting some cup waterers (red and yellow) attached to pvc pipes and was wondering if any of you use them. If so, how many do you use per birds? Which ones are the best? Do you use the black bracket for easy cleaning? thank you :)

Will you process silkies? I know they aren't the typical chickens and doubt I will eat the meat. However, I would love to use them for chicken stock (I am sorry for all the vegetarian/ vegan reading this). I will also have a few LF layers "old" hens in the next few months (those will be eaten).

Very pretty!!!!! She looks awesome! I am so sorry about your hen, but she is so lucky to have you back. Poor girl. She was probably full of mites and worms. I am so tired of some individuals not caring for animals. So sad :(
