Mojo Chick'n :
The price is just $29.95 for 100 + 10 extra chicks - plus shipping, total price to me was 44.55 this time (was a dollar or so more last time, so maybe they are overrun with extras and took a little off?)
They are all dual purpose heavy breed chicks, BA, BR, white rock, possible...
Love the chickenbutts pic and love the white (EE?)pullet with the greenish legs. My EEs are black/gray so the green legs don't stand out to much. Love it!
I would make it at least 5 feet and 6 if you can. It will make it easier on you when you have to go in and clean or retrieve a sick/dead bird. We have built a shorter one (only 3 ft) and you either have to duck walk in or crawl. Neither of which is too fun. But we learned our lesson. We are...

I only have a few Jersey babies that I was planning to keep...but I can hatch some for you if you don't mind the wait. I have a few Orp babies also.
I think I might be interested in some hatching eggs. PM me price on a dozen or so. I am interested in the Jersey Giants, Australorps...

No, I didn't get a chance to visit any of the local Amish. I was just hoping to check it out and see what all they had to offer at the swap and what prices things/critters were going for. I was in town visiting family for an early Father's Day so I wasn't even sure I would have a chance to get...
I'm so bummed. I got to Tim and Susie's Hen House Swap just as they were calling it a day (5:00). But the flyer says sunset. Did anyone make it out there? Is this normal? Guess I should try to get out there earlier, but gosh, it sure was hot yesterday.
Brooder is 24 inches high and then light is an additional 41 inches above that? So 65 inches off of chicks? or is the the light 41 inches from the floor? Either way sounds like it is too far away. I would put a thermometer in there and check temps. Chicks should be housed at 90-100 degrees...
Yahoo! New chicks have hatched. Booo! I have to clean the incubator. I had 4 that didn't hatch so I waited another day just in case. The extra time let the goo dry and stick to the inside of my styrofoam hovabator incubator. I cleaned in up with soap and water. Can anyone give me clean up...
I've had two c-sections. First was unplanned and hectic. The second was planned and calm. Both were very different in recovery also. First time, very sore and slow recovery. Second, asked to leave the hospital before 48 hrs. was up. Felt pretty good. So good in fact that I was up and at...
