    Wow, I haven't been on here in forever. It's good to see everyone with greater numbers and better birds than what I remember it used to be! I myself have bred out a lot campines this year, most of them golden pullets. My spring show season has been pretty good this year, too!

    You're cockerel with feathers on his shanks looks to me like he has marans blood in him. Marans are single combed and have feathers which only line the outside (lateral) part of the shank.     I couldn't tell by the lacing- it blurs up too much to see detail when I zoom in. But barnevelders are supposed to be darker on the hackles whereas partridge is lighter, with more of a gold tint. That's how it is in the standard, at least, as well with my birds. But hatcheries don't breed to...
