Dwarfism in 3wk old porcelain d’uccles?!

I have two, 3 week old porcelain d’uccles and one is literally not growing other than it’s little wing feathers. It did have pasty butt for a while but that has stopped. It eats and drinks, scratches around with its feathered sibling, etc. It peeps, A LOT and wants to snuggle…A LOT. But seems...

Here are some updated pics of our coop "renovation". We just need to install the long windows, siding and the little run for them to get to the tiny chicken door. I'm in love! This new section will be all just open floor space for them. This is the right side of the coop(blue...

My dad and I are in the process of building a 4x6 addition to my coop. I just have too many chickens and with winter coming they will need more space. He's happy to be needed. He's really been having a hard time with his wife's death so I'm glad to give him a project. Father/daughter time is...

I would just like to say that once I accidentally used "regular" laundry detergent in my HE washer and there were bubbles coming OUT of the door and it caused extra rinse cycles AND it then locked up the codes. So I would beg to differ that HE soap is the same. lol I didn't use any more...

Yes Amy, I get mine all at Meijer in the laundry aisle. The longest part of this process is grating and melting the soap. And even then it's fast. You can use the soap right away or let it sit. Doesn't affect the cleaning properties at all. I bought a cheap metal grater to use for the soap...

I buy them at Meijer because Walmart didn't carry the washing soda but I see they do now. I don't know if Walmart carries Kirk's castile soap though. I've seen some recipes that use Ivory instead of the other two soaps. Personal preference I would imagine. It costs approximately $11 to buy...

Here is the recipe I use. Prices for each are approximate depending on where you buy them. I personally put my soap in a covered 5 gallon bucket and keep it under my laundry room sink. If you want it to smell like "something" you can put any essential oil in it. LOTS of drops since there...

Still behind...I'm probably going to give up. Lol Thanks for the comment on the partridge silkie. I don't want to get rid of any until I know if they are hens but they take FOREVER to be able to tell. And I'm guessing since they are hatchery quality I'll have even more of a time of it...

My pretty "Foxy" lady. She and Cuddles(my Isa Brown) are the most lovable chickens I have. Frizzle my son got at Chicken Stock. He's so sweet. My beloved Cuddles...and my only egg layer. The bopsie twins...no eggs from them yet either!

Soooooo far behind. Silkie pros...girl or boy? "It" is 17 weeks old, no crowing...yet, hatchery chick. I have two blue silkies that have super combs and wattles so I'm 99.9% sure those two are boys. Really? lol
