yes, the others have almost no comb at all. I'll try to get another picture. It doesn't bother me that we ended up with a Roo, as long as he isn't aggressive towards us. thanks!
hi all! the chicks are almost 9 weeks old now.
this is what the yellow one turned into...
this is last week, next to one of our hens, and one of the other chicks that hatched the same day. all the others look almost identical to the black one here, smaller and almost no comb. I'm assuming...
my hen went broody... and I didn't have any fertile eggs so my father grabbed some eggs from a friend.
I have no idea what I ended up with... we got five black and this one yellow. anyone have any ideas?
Hi all! I'm in Hancock! We just got our chicks in March, so they've just started to lay :o) I haven't read though everything, so I'm not sure how close any of y'all are to me
thanks all!
none of them have black on the tail.
So, even though they are all the same age, one can have a comb that's twice the size as the others? interesting! thank you!
We've had our chicks for 13 weeks now, this one here has a comb that is much bigger than the rest... is she a he???? I've not noticed any crowing yet. I also don't know what breed... we got six red pullets from TSC. thanks in advance!
Hi. I know this is an old thread... but we have a shed exactly like this that we are turning into a coop. Do you have pictures of what you did for ventilation? Any updates on how this is working out for you?? thanks
