Well, grabbed hold of the duck again and there is nothing there. My husband found our puppy chewing on a snail that was laying on the lawn. Maybe all our pushing last night helped her to cough it up? She isn't eating the feed but she gobbled up a big earthworm so... all's well that ends well...
Our Ancona female is unable to eat and is losing weight rapidly. We live on a river with little snails but she got one too big to pass. Been 2 days. We can move it up but only slime comes out of her mouth. Any ideas? My husband tried to pinch and break it but couldn't and didn't want to...
I'm having the same thing today with one of my year old copper marans. Noticed her standing by herself so I grabbed her and she had dried poop all over her butt feathers, her butt is mostly naked and seems puffy. It is soft though. Her vent seems enlarged like some pics that I've looked at...
I'm in Wisconsin closer to Green Bay and am looking for a coronation sussex rooster. Ours just died and I wanted to breed our beautiful hen. Anyone have any ideas?
Thank you
Yesterday our King George was sitting down when the others were running around but then after a while he got up and seemed to be okay. (I wasn't home, hubby relates this)
Today, I saw him running with the 3 hens as usual but then just now when I went out to see the birds he was not with the...
Will someone please read my thread linked below. Someone suggested I post it here for more answers. Thank you so much.

I don't know who's laying when. Someone threw a tiny yolkless egg a couple days back and also we have one duck that lays eggs with dark green shells and we haven't seen one of those for days and days, maybe she's the one that lays those. We will watch her. She
is running, foraging and...
here is a pic of the duck in question. See how big her hinder is? She seems normal, and I grabbed her and the area seems soft with no hardness. How do I know and what should I do? There is no vet for poultry in my area?
you can kind of see on the outside toe of the rooster that it's curled back. The hens is more pronounced. I just couldn't get a good shot of it this time. Anyway, Kind George crowed like a rooster this morning! That's something. I did hang up a nice lettuce from the garden and also put some...
I've recently paid big chicken scratch for a 4 month old rooster and hen coronation sussex pair. They are really beautiful and pretty much are acting like royalty. But not like chickens. They don't scratch at all and today I opened up the run door to a fenced in part of the yard... grass...
2 year old female Maremma named Tilly. Wonderful girl but we had to get rid of our birds and now she has nothing to do. She is great with poultry. Anyone out there looking for an LGD that could provide a good home for this beautiful dog?
