    in mass where i am board can range from 150- 800...... that may or may not include hay or care... Turnout... mineis cheap but myhorse only hangs his head where he is at..... i go voer 3 times a day for cleaning feeding etc.. lots of work involved tooo.... if you do need to feed hay bales here...

    calcium pellets vs. oyster shell

    just wondering... i wanted to give the girls oyster shell... trying to keep them from eating eggs.... (read somewhere that might be happening becasue they are looking for calcium) but they were allotu at grain store, they did have calcium chips... says right on bag for hardening shells etc...

    I finally got my first 2 eggs yesterday, is it normal to have none today? Ihave 5 cluckers.... 2 RIR 3 Buff orps all the same age my concern being there is someone in my coop who has abit of a runny poop.... (whichhas happened before with different treats) and they did have some yesterday...

    someone emailed me about the water bucket. i purchased it at www.horse.com 2.5 gallon heated bucket, small enough they dont have to climb in it. so i only change water every couple of days. works very well it works for 5 chickens, guessing it may accomadate up to 10.........

    OH and I forgot, I use a heated horse bucket 2.5 gallon outside for water and it works well. If anyone wants to give it a try.

    My cluckers have started laying first 2 eggs today, found one in nest box, 1 outside on ground. Should I try to tell them where to put eggs by leaving them in boxes? I am guessing the same bird (out of 5) laid them. funny as we had snow and coldest temp last night and today, and now they start...

    if the roof didnt slope in the back I would have doors, I have had a difficult time cleaning it out. I am also vertically challenged I may change it, but have other thigns to work on too........ I would put doors if you can.
