    Questions About Hatching

Hi, everybody! My mom wants baby chicks, and to be honest so do I. But it's starting to chill. We don't have an incubator, we'd like to do it naturally. So, I need a walk through. 1. Do you just put the hen in with the rooster, and how can you tell if she 'took'? 2. What do you look for when...

    Stubbron Hens.

Yea, the ones that are used to us squat down as if were the rooster. Could them not liking us as much be their breed? Ameracuna and Easter Eggers? And don't worry, we sit out in our coop too :)

    Stubbron Hens.

Hello! Alright, we got 7 hens to begin with, and they are so used to us. They're laying now. When we walk in, they're so unafraid they sit there like a rock until you move them or wait on them. Our other 5 chickens we got afterward are not like that. They do not let you pick them up. They run...

    Animal Cook Book

Hey! I'm creating my own cook book, but can you eat any of the recipies? Nope! It's for your animals! Do you have any treats you make for your animals? Your dogs, cats, chickens, rabbits, goats, sheep, cows, ducks? Share them here, with what you'll need and how long to bake them and etc, once my...

Would these 4 breeds get along?

There will always be a mean or Dominant chicken, but sure. If you get them as chicks, and raise them together, then I'm sure the worst you'll see is an occasional peck or just being snobby to it, but that's in every peck order.

    Meanies...

We had 12 chickens, and had talked my grandparents into getting their own. They got four Rhone Islands. After awhile they noticed, hey, this coop will only fit two! So guess who got new babies?... Yea. Our chickens are MEAN to them! They peck, and pull, what do we do? I scold them a dog owner...

    Two Things..

Alright. Thanks. We keep a clean coop poop and dirty bedding wise, but apparently not dust wise (yes, ill be a man and admit that...). Thank you. The paint will be removed, but now it's just a curious question, would a red coop calm the urge to peck at red?....

    Two Things..

Aright, my first question. Do chickens ever just sneeze?.. Chicken 1: ACHOO Chicken 2: Bless you. Chicken 1: Thanks. We have chickens who just walk around, stop, and achoo! They're healthy and happy, so I don't understand. Can they have allergies..? Also, we have a chicken who fell victim to a...
