    Polish unable to walk

I held her and also watched her move, and found that yes she can curl her toes and move her legs. I brought her in and put some antibiotics and vitamins into her water. Hopefully there will be some improvement in the next few days!

    Polish unable to walk

I have ruled out egg bound and impacted crop yes. I didn't check for ascites, just because I figured that wouldn't cause her to be unable to walk. I will check though

    Polish unable to walk

My 3 year old polish as of today is unable to walk, she will just sit on her hind legs like in this picture. Every time she tries to take a step she will just stagger, and has to catch her balance. Besides her legs, she is alert, but slightly panicked and breathes heavily when distressed. Not...

    I would say pullet!

Could you get a picture of the back of him/her? I think I may see some streamers coming in but I can't tell for sure. But at 7 months you should be finding out soon anyway, you'll either get an egg or a crow!

Sorry, they are too young. Give it at least another month. With silkies it's a waiting game :)

Might be too young to tell. Is there any way you can get a picture of their combs? You can't really see them in this picture.

Yes, I still think cockerel. But in about 2 month it should become very obvious if he/she is male or female.

Unfortunately them fighting doesn't give anything away, I've had young cockerels fight, young pullets fight, and boys fight girls. It's just a dominance thing. I wouldn't worry about it because they're so young. If it progresses until they are adult birds though, I would get rid of one or the...

I'm thinking cockerel, but how old is he?

    silkie sexing

They look too young, I would wait until they are 5 months old before any serious gender guesses can be made. But if I had to say, the buff looks like a pullet and the darker a cockerel, but of course this is just a guess. I would at least give it another month.

Does anyone have or know of anyone who has a wyandotte pullet? My friend just lost hers. Just let me know! I can always check craigslist too....

Whatever he ends up being he's going to be pretty! He looks typey, nice chest. As far as gender, his comb isn't revealing much. It could spontaneously get larger all of a sudden or it could stay small like that forever and he could be a hen. From what you said of his behavior it could be a boy...

You cannot really tell without a picture of the comb in this situation. How old?

I don't think wing span means anything...I could be wrong! I've just never heard of it before. As for the top picture, it's a little blurry, but I'm going to go with pullet...? They seem a little too young to tell. But in a few weeks I bet you will know for sure what they are.

How old is she/he? If you are able to get a pic of the comb that would be great!

I believe he is a cockerel. He has a prominent comb (which doesn't mean it's a boy, I've seen plenty of pullets with some bigger combs), and even though I can't say if I see streamers for sure, it looks like he may have hackles coming in. My bet is on boy. The white is much too young to tell.

With a comb like that, I'm going to say cockerel.

Well, at 8 weeks things could change, but for right now I'm going to stand by my previous opinio, with white being a pullet and the balck a cockerel. But who knows, the black could be a pullet with just a tiny bit larger comb than usual. It will be a couple more weeks till you can tell for sure...

How old are they? At the moment, they look still very young, but I would say that the black is a cockerel and the white a pullet. But there weren't really any direct pictures of their combs, so I could be wrong.
