Good to hear! We are building our coop...it is 8 foot long, so I think I am going to make 2 slide out drawers that just slide on 2x4s instead of rollers. I read on another thread that if it's on rollers they could get clogged with poop/shavings.
Does anyone have drawers as their floor in their coop? I was trying to think of a way I could make some type of drawer that I could slide out and clean. I think I am also going to make a 'poop board' under their roost.
I am enjoying my chickies, also! Like you said...even changing the waterer/feeder and cleaning their coop! The only problem I foresee right now is that my EE is kind of aggressive towards the 6 smaller ones that are a few weeks younger (the 3 Orps/3 RIR). Actually, he is rather aggresive in...

Then we...
I, too, have been reading threads for about a month now. Decided to finally jump into the conversation! We got 7 chickens about 4 weeks ago: 2 Partridge Silkies, 2 Buff Orpingtons, 2 Black Cochin Bantams, and 1 Easter Egger. Mainly got the Easter Egger so we can have some colored eggs! They...
