Set of 6 quail racks for hova-bator automatic turners, each rack holds 20 eggs for a total of 120 if you use all six. These are in great shape - I only hatch chicken eggs and want to get rid of these. If you have any questions, let me know, I couldn't upload a picture but will email you one if...

Watch and see where he goes to roost, then catch him while he's asleep. Good luck!
Well he was actually in the run by his girls this morning, however when I tried to get out the back door the dogs busted past me and scared him away again. The problem is that trees around me are way to...

Yes, that's who mine came from. We have RIR and BO and we've been very happy with them. He goes to the stockyards in Shepherdsville on Saturdays.
My RIR are 6 weeks old and just went to the big girl coop this week. I think I have 2 hens out of 6 RIR. Within 2 days, one of them had her leg turn completely outward and she limps badly on it. It does look as if the tendon is out of the groove, but I can't get it to budge. Then 2 days later...
As a buddy for a lone hatch survivor. I have RIR and BO that are 3 weeks old and are just too big and aggressive for this little guy to be in with. Will consider short drive.
Oh I love boxers! We don't have one but we borrow one, lol. Our farming neighbors have one that comes here to hang out several days at a time. He is the most gentle dog I've ever seen. He goes for rides on their Gator with them. My son has a little kid's ride on gator and one day the dog got up...
OOOHHH - I didn't even think of a web cam! That would be awesome.
And yes, ... I'm already putting together the styrofoam incubator. I am unsure of my technical ability, luckily DH is handy! Just something about 'making it yourself', you know? Lol! This is so addictive.
Thanks for the...
moving to the homemade styrofoam bator?
We are incubating in a renovated holding cabinet that is doing a beautiful job. My only dislike is that we didn't have time to retrofit the door to where it has a window. SO...for this batch I can either take my chances and try not to disturb the hatch as...
I'm in Louisville, and Tractor Supply on Preston does carry them, though I've not seen them in stock very often. If you're in Prospect, I'd call ahead since it's a bit of a drive for you. They also have the egg turners, I believe.
Nice to "see" you here!
Lisa
I'm new to this internet chicken-palooza. I never knew there was so much to chickens, and I love learning from all of you!
Now the Marans that are going for so much, I know they have the darkest eggs, but is this a new breed? Or a fad? Have they been around for a while and always been so sought...
Thanks for the offer, but I think we've decided to just start with RIR since we only have space for a few. Hopefully we'll be getting more before long and I'll let you know if I need some!
Thanks so much,
Lisa
Looking to buy RIR and White Leghorn hatching eggs, preferably local to Louisville, KY (within 1 hr away). I don't mind having them shipped if we have to, esp if you aren't too far away.
Do not have to be show quality stock, but that's okay too. Mostly want good laying stock
Ideally would...

GREAT! That's what I am hoping for! I am looking at these for white eggs and RIR for brown. We had leghorns when I was a kid but I don't remember much, just that it seemed we had lots of eggs and that they weren't good for eating (at least we didn't think so).
Thanks so much!
