Hey Bill, is that RIR making a rooing sound yet. I have one that looks like the same and the RIR is 17 weeks old but there is no rooing in the morning, so im not sure if its a rooster or a hen.

Just a thought, Couldn't you use those packets that look like tea bags you get sometimes when you buy electronics or other stuff. Lay them on top of the cans inside.

I did this and it helped. Put some containers of frozen water in there. ( empty 2 liters bottles of soda, empty milk cartons) i did this and they laid against them, also a fan helps.

Still waiting for mine. 16 weeks old for my EE and Rhode Island reds. Can't wait.
