They had crumbs until 8 weeks, then growers, then layers, but as they were still rather small I was advised to keep them on growers till they got a bit bigger.
Does anyone know of a layers crumb I can get in the UK? I've looked everywhere!
My chicks have just turned 16 and 18 weeks, however they don't seem to be eating any of their growers pellets.
When they were on crumbs, as soon as I'd let them out they'd head straight to their food. Now, they don't seem interested, and are only eating greens, mealworms, corn and various...
Hi there,
I have four chicks, two are 13 weeks (one hen, one rooster) and two are 10 weeks old (two hens).
However, I have noticed that they are not really growing anymore, and they are very small.
I have noticed that they don't seem to eat as much of their Growers pellets as their crumbs...
Thanks for all your replies!
This may be a silly question; but will my 3 pullets still lay if there is a rooster there?
And are they fine to live together?
Thanks
I have four chicks, however this one has grown the fastest, is the largest, and has a red wattle and comb, unlike the other 3. They are a mixture of breeds, however I've noticed the similarities between this one and a La Fleche; with the white earlobes and horn like comb, depsite the man I...
Here are two of my chicks, aged 5 weeks..
The yellow-y one has fluffly legs and is starting to get a bit of a mohawk on its head..(just feathers, comb still v small)
Little black one also starting to get a bit of a mohican! But no fluffy feet..
That's what it looked like, the man I bought him/her from didn't have any La Fleche though! Mainly a mixture of Silkies and RIR's! And another black breed that I can't remember, but not La Fleche!
Thanks for your help so far! Any ideas on sex?
