Turkey won;t eat and has rattly breathing. Help!

Been doing some research and bumped her up to 3x a day of Tylan. I think she weighs about 15 pounds. Don't know how to post pictures but tonight poop was liquidy green. Earlier it was liquidy dark brown, yellow, and white. I've been force feeding her mashed up banana and softened dog food. I did...

Turkey won;t eat and has rattly breathing. Help!

Thank you. I am treating her with an oral dose of Tylan 50 (1cc) twice a day. I have been force feeding her dog food and banana. I've heard about scrambled egg but unfortunately I cooked all I had last night before I realized she was sick. Her symptoms: Rattly breathing (no discharge) VERY...

Turkey won;t eat and has rattly breathing. Help!

Yesterday my turkey was fine and acting normal. She was eating and following me around and was letting me pet her. Today she seems very reserved, she won't eat, and when she breathes she sounds very rattily and flemmy. I've looked at a list of diseases and there's just so many I have no clue...

    Soft shelled eggs

My Rhode Island Red has just gone through a molt and layed her first egg in a while. However, the egg broke in her coop very easily and when I went to clean it up, I noticed it had a very soft and thin shell. Now, she has been very ill for the past two days, as in, to the point of near death...

My Chicken Won't East Her Grain

My Rhode Island Red has been very sick for the past two days, (almost death,) and she is almost at full recovery and actually laid an egg today! However, I'm a little worried because I've been trying to hand feed ehr food and she eats a lot of it but all she wants is fruits, (strawberries...

    2 hens not laying

Hmm.. Well, I don't know if you live on a farm or if they are kept in a coop all day or what but they need at least 14 hours of daylight in order to sustain egg production. It also could be if you are giving them the wrong food. Feed them layer with 16-18% protein. Also, don't give them table...

    2 hens not laying

My Rhode Island Res are going through a stage like this, too. If she's molting, this could be why. They molt for about 3-5 months, depending on whether it;s a hard or soft molt. And sometimes, they just need a break. The only other thing that I can think of is that they might have a disease or...

    Safe Treatment for Mites

I discovered a few days ago that my Rhode Island reds, Doris and Tiana, have mites. I sprayed their hutches with Manna Pro- All Natural Poultry Protector. Well, this made my Tiana very sick because I had not realized that she had a respiratory problem and it says not to use on chickens with...

    Chicken Very Sick! HELP!!

You will all be happy to know that Tiana is doing somewhat better. She is eating her fruits and veggies and I am not having to shove the bottle with the medicine, pedialyte, and water in her mouth. She still can't stand up on her own but can pretty much hold her head up. Her comb is returning to...

    Chicken Very Sick! HELP!!

I was reading up on it and Botulism sounds about right. I just hope she can make it through. It sounds like most at her stage don't make it, (if it is Botulism.) I'm crossing my fingers. I don't want my baby girl to pass. I have found some maggots in the bottom of my parakeet's cage and just...

    Chicken Very Sick! HELP!!

Well, the thing is, I didn't have a chance to give it to her, (I guess I should have mentioned that.) It said on the bottle to give it to her in the morning, that is why I held her water overnight so she would want to drink it in the morning. But I didn't have the chance because when I opened...

    Chicken Very Sick! HELP!!

I don't know if it's Blackhead Disease. She doesn't have yellowe diahrrea and it sounds like her symptoms are a lot worse than in Blackhead Disease. I'm looking through illnesses in chickens now so I'll let you know if I find anything.
