i also switched our feeder over to a treadle feeder that holds 50# of feed and upgraded our waterers: no more rats raiding the feed! i have cameras pointed at the inner enclosure and can vouch the treadle feeder is doing it's job keeping the chickens fed and the pillagers out. :D

I have poured over feather and polish crest sexing pictures online and am pretty sure I have all pullets. I am totally laughing at myself because there is no way this is possible. I have the worst luck! Here is the crest guide I used. Here is one of the many feather sexing articles I referenced...

my americauna does this too sometimes. all my girls eat the same food and have not had it happen to my other girls. maybe something common with the breed?
