    I set 30 eggs in incubator 6/18/12. They are a small variety...red stars, game and copper marans. I also set 12 duck eggs under a hen yesterday. Can't wait to see what I get blessed with! Good luck to everyone! I love being a foster hen!

    are their legs spraddling out? If they are, wrap their legs with vet wrap to help their legs stay under them until the muscles get strong enough. This works for me when I have baby chicks that can't stand. Just makde sure you don't wrap too tightly. My chicks are usually ok in a couple days...

    what are frizzles like??

    I am new to Frizzles. I bought 8 chickens Saturday. They were all in the same cage, 2 are frizzled and the other 6 are straight feathered, so I'm wondering if all are Frizzles. I read about 1/4 of the eggs a Frizzle lays will hatch straight feathered. I seen a reply about not breeding...

    Welcome! I know you will enjoy your chickens...soon. This is a great place to learn! I am not new to chickens, we are up to somewhere around 275-300 chickens ( not exactly sure how many), but I was looking for a recipe on forage cakes when I found BYC. I LOVE it! Lots to learn here. Good luck!
