I am hoping by the time I get home from work, they'll be here! I am so excited. This is my first time hatching peafowls. I had them in an incubator until my chicken eggs hatched, but those little boogers knocked them around so much I was afraid they would break, so we put them under one of...
I set 30 eggs (copper marans, red stars and game) last night in the incubator and 12 duck eggs under a hen. I had 30 hatch off last week (ameracaunas and game). Today or tomorrow my peachicks will hatch, can't wait for that! We have hatched lots of chickens in an incubator over the years and...
I set 30 eggs in incubator 6/18/12. They are a small variety...red stars, game and copper marans. I also set 12 duck eggs under a hen yesterday. Can't wait to see what I get blessed with! Good luck to everyone! I love being a foster hen!
I put 30 eggs in the incubator last night (6/18/12). I'm a couple days ahead of you, but I would love to share my experience and follow everyone else's. I just hatched 30 eggs last week, all of which are doing great! They are game and ameracaunas. The eggs I put in yesterday are copper...

sorry to hear about the attack! I've never heard of a fisher, but I hope you will be able to stop it before it cleans you out. I live in Alabama and have a fox prowling around, but I've got his number!
I work at a goat and poultry auction and we have a chicken sale every Friday night. We are in Clay County, about 45 miles from Anniston. I would be glad to give you directions if you want to come.
I am new to Frizzles. I bought 8 chickens Saturday. They were all in the same cage, 2 are frizzled and the other 6 are straight feathered, so I'm wondering if all are Frizzles. I read about 1/4 of the eggs a Frizzle lays will hatch straight feathered. I seen a reply about not breeding...
Welcome! I know you will enjoy your chickens...soon. This is a great place to learn! I am not new to chickens, we are up to somewhere around 275-300 chickens ( not exactly sure how many), but I was looking for a recipe on forage cakes when I found BYC. I LOVE it! Lots to learn here. Good luck!
