    Hokum Coco.....I thought of this too, but there are trees in the run that I would have to cut down, and I think the trees are keeping the hawks out. Not to mention lots of shade. And my yard is small...no where else to put the run :/

    Thats just it....there is nothing. I am zoned residential. Under residential it says agricultural and specialized farming is allowed with stipulations. The only one listed is 100 feet from the road.

    So far the two roosters are doing good penned up together. My hens seem happy too! I am going to just keep them in the sectioned off part and keep a close eye on them.
