I agree with an earlier post of not moving them around much.

From what I've heard, the crows keep the hawks away..
We had one hawk attack over a year ago..(I patched the hen up and she now lays lots of eggs
We now have crows..Whenever I do see a hawk, they don't stick around long

I stopped by the TSC in Cleburne, Texas today for some feed..
They had the tubs of chicks, so I picked out 4 cute little banties..
Then at the register they wanted to see my drivers license..I pretty much knew what was up at that point..(Thanks to reading about the NAIS here)

She would follow me around and fly to my shoulder when the roo's were being mean..
She was killed by a dog..
I had some of her eggs and hatched them out..
Her 3 babies now follow me around just like she did..
It shouldn't be too long before the 2 hens start...
Would it be possible to make them a dog proof chicken tractor?
That would keep the hawk off of them too..Not as good as being able to chase the flying/jumping bugs..But they would still be able to scratch around in new spots for the crawling ones
