Red stars are awesome chickens! They are great layers and very friendly! If you are going to show then at a fair (not a formal fair) you should hold them often. I show at 4-H. :)
Oh my, I have not posted anything in a long time! So a lot has happened in the past few months. My family moved and we now have about 4 acres. I am sooo excited!!! There is a creek that runs through our yard and I love walking in it. :) Ok now lets get to the question. I would like to get more...
Your friend could take out the rotten parts and replace them with new wood from stores like Lowes. that will not cost much. And chickens are pretty simple to keep so it should not be a big deal. She should first ask if she can have chickens where she lives. or if its really really bad she can...
She is still not laying, but she is still alive. i think its because i showed her at two fairs (very stressful for her) and the seasons changing. so i think she is okay. Thank you for giving ideas and information.
I have an egg bound chicken, or at least I think. It has not layed in three days. I can feel a lump in her abdomen but she shows no symptoms. What should I do?
Hi this is silis. My friends dog had 13 puppies and that is going to be a handful. i hope u have fun with your puppies and give them hugs for me.And i hope you find good loving families for all of them. Are you planning to keep one of them?
I use Dumor and i think the price is going up and i would like to know if there is a different brand that is cheaper than 15$.i will be sad to switch because my chickens have been using that brand ever since they were chicks. Please tell me the brand and the price.

Hi, this is Silis and i got my chickens because I wanted to show them as a hobby. plus it was a good way to get in 4-h. Now i have two wonderfull show birds that are a joy to take care of.
I would get a puppy because You get to train it and if you have kids it will get used to them, but if you get a shelter dog you don't know how much it can tolerate and it might bite. Good luck
i would not use a e- collar because then the dog will be afraid to move around the yard. My friends used the e-collar and their dog was afraid to move a muscle.
I have jug Jack russel/pug and he just loves my chickens. One day the roofer was over at our house and the dog was out sitting next to the cage. When the guy came to close and he started to growl and bark at the guy. I had to hold him back.
