Yes I did. It just seems so much for a bird that weighs less then a pound. 25 mg disolved in water ? How do I know how much 25 mg is? I am so scared of giving her too much. The capsules are 100 mg. They too expired 3/25. Ugh. Sorry to be such a pain. I so appreciate your help.
I have it in a capsule. Any idea on how much to give her ? I assume I would mix it with water or add it to her food? I read the info on the link you gave me. I am just unsure of the dosage for a tiny silkie. She isn’t showing improvement so I did find a vet that will see her Thursday.
What about the Tylosin ? When I mix it with the water can I then give her some in a syringe? Would that be safe?Since she isn’t drinking a lot and I want to make sure she gets some asap ( when I receive the order ) The Tylan that is expired was Tylan 200 .
I have been feeding her scrambled eggs mixed in with her softened feed. She is alert and not lethargic.. just can’t figure out why she is in the house. Haha.
She has been wheezing for a week or so. I have had previous silkies with upper respiratory issues. But it’s been a while. She has no bubbles or foam in either eyes. No new birds have been added.I took a video of her. Let me try and get it up loaded. 🙂
My little silkie is weezing … no runny nose or sneezing just sounds congested when breathing.I have been giving her VetRX and tolsin with apple cider vinegar in her water. She is also here in the house away from the others. She seems to eat and drink a little. Is there anything else that I can...
Advice needed.
I have been reading about giving Baicalin and skull cap to chickens. I have 500 mg capsules that I can open . What would be the amount I can give to a silky hen? Also .. is baicalin different then skull cap ? I have a hen that has a bad leg…marek’s the vet said it wasn’t . I have...
Took her to a vet that sees birds.. she swabbed her throat and looked under the microscope. It wasn’t Canker. Sent me home with some meds but unfortunately she tried to eat and wasn’t able to pass the food. We tried getting the food out of her throat but weren’t able to as she couldn’t breath...
I am wondering if during the summer months when they free range if the large water container they drink out of could have possibly been contaminated by wild birds. The water container in the coop gets changed often and cleaned. This is the first time I have had a Silkie come down with this. If I...
Unfortunately we do not have any vets within a 250 mile radius that knows squat about birds and we live in a agricultural state. So like many other instances I have had to go at it alone with the knowledge of those on this site. So grateful for Backyard Chickens ❤️ i have also read about Copper...
