I would probably use the expired Tylan 200 orally as long as it was kept clean. Dosage is 0.1 ml 3-4 times a day. If she starts drinking well the Tylosin in the water would be good.

Question… I read that you can give animals some human antibiotics… what about doxycycline?

Yes, doxycycline is a tetracycline that treats MG respiratory and some other infections in chickens. Here is a good thread about doxy:

I have it in a capsule. Any idea on how much to give her ? I assume I would mix it with water or add it to her food? I read the info on the link you gave me. I am just unsure of the dosage for a tiny silkie. She isn’t showing improvement so I did find a vet that will see her Thursday.

How many miligrams or mg is the medicine on your label? It is more accurate to give her the dosage orally twice a day. Did you read the thread? Dosage is 25 mg per kg (25 mg per each 2.2 pounds) twice a day for 7 days.
