What CHICKEN did this egg come from

here is a picture of the two eggs I collected on the same day. Slight difference in size and shading of blue. I KNOW that I have two hamburgs (whether or not they are "pure" or not...they are from a hatcher so who knows). Here is a pix, however, of what we (meaning myself and this forum)...

It's fair time!!! And, now that I"m a chicken mamma...I'm looking forward to going to the fair for a WHOLE different reason But, I know there are a LOT of issues with "visiting" other flocks and how you can bring diseases back to your girls. Is this also a consideration at fairs? I'm...

I am now looking for some sort of treadle-type feeder. I have looked at the Grandpas feeder buty yikes! very expensive (yes, I know...prob pay for itself in no time in decreased feed costs due to no longer feeding pests!). I have seen the wooden ones for sale but...not the best reviews...

Ok...so, I've asked this before and the answer is "roo"...but, I've attached a pix of this chicken's brother (same hatch, same parents), a definite roo (he crows and...well...loves the ladies in my flock)...and he/she really is very different; no crowing, clucks, looks different (waddles and...

cool...I've seen these and wondered how they work...or if they are safe for birds. Would the birdie get burned if they touched the metal heater? it can't be that hot I wouldn't imagine. I'll look into this. Thanks.

    WATER for ducks

Silly girls! I have a small, kitty litter tub and I've seen TWO of my girls squish in there...with the other one trying pretty hard! As for overnight, my three duckies like to sleep in the COOP WITH THE CHICKENS! So, they will probably be plenty warm at night. Also have a heated chicken...
