It does have a pea comb, the one next to it is a cochin, I was thinking buff brama too but wasn't sure.....My son caught both of them in the chicken run at our local Dog Festival and got to bring them home. I have some bantams I brought in today too that I'll be posting some pics of soon as...
Very addicting! I had always wanted to try raising them, and when my son got his first chicken at the Sportsman's festival, it gave me an excuse.....of course she couldn't be alone ;) I finally had the room, and a small barn I could make into a coop. I think my husband is getting jealous of...
This is my first flock, and to be quite honest, I'm obsessed! Loving these chickens! Just wanted to share my crew ;) All are cross, but I think they are beautiful!
I'll get a picture of him in the morning, I was told he was a roo too, but haven't heard him crow yet, while the other one has been crowing away. They are both from the same farm, and both around 5 months old, so I'll be interested to see how their coloration changes as they get bigger.
They are about 5 months old from what I've been told. One on left is definitely a roo, not sure about the one on the right, thinking it might be a hen....
Honestly, my son caught one in a contest at a local Sportsman's show. You catch the chicken, you keep it. We had recently moved to an 18 acre farm, so we went ahead and brought her home. I fell in love with her and wanted more ;) Of course the eggs help too :)
