    Silkie thread!

I have one cockerel with six hens/ pullets. Only three of my girls are laying at the moment. He seems to only have eyes for one hen. I'm wanting Fertile eggs and he's not doing his job. How do I get him to service all the girls? At least the ones that are laying. ??? Thanks

Mated pullet laid her first egg...can i hatch it? or too small?

I now have 3 eggs from my now hen... i saw her mated three days before first egg...so i'm pretty sure the eggs are fertile . However the eggs are on the small size....not too small for first eggs... should i wait? Is the shell too small or does nature know what it's doing??? Thanks in advance...
