I now have 3 eggs from my now hen... i saw her mated three days before first egg...so i'm pretty sure the eggs are fertile . However the eggs are on the small size....not too small for first eggs...
should i wait? Is the shell too small or does nature know what it's doing???
Thanks in advance for any information.

It's not ideal to incubate early eggs, as they have very small yolks and can't deliver much nutrition for the developing embryo. And the small shell offers little space for growing and turning. If you plan to keep the hen and rooster together, just wait a few weeks until her eggs are consistently sized with good shell quality.

There are so many mixed opinions. Hatching eggs can be difficult and also a miracle sometimes. I've read that hatching pullet eggs are discouraged, but some have tried it to success. The option is up to you.
